DISCOVER HISTORICAL ANTIGUA while pleasuring your palate with a taste of something local served on unique dishes. This six and a half hour tour begins in downtown St. John’s, where 18th century buildings add a historical charm to the bustling city. Tour stops include the historical fortifications – the Block House, Shirley Heights, and the region’s only active Georgian era naval yard, Nelson’s Dockyard. There’s also a thrilling ride through lush Fig Tree Drive, with South Coast Horizon – a secluded eco-fantasy – as the final destination. South Coast is a 42 acre mangrove lagoon through which patrons peddle or kayak towards one of the island’s most secluded beaches. There, appetites will be satisfied with, quite literally, a taste of something local. For more on South Coast Horizon visit www.southcoasthorizon.com
